What is a Virtual Tasting (VT)?

A Virtual Tasting is an online forum for winefans like you to participate in a wine tasting from your own home.

It's easy. As the Virtual Tasting Host, you pick the wines, set the deadlines, post any comments about your VT and invite your friends to participate. You then purchase or retrieve the wines from your own cellar and taste it. Once you've tasted the wines, log back on to Winefans.net to post your wine tasting notes for your VT participants to view. Then learn what others thought about the wines by reading their notes.

.As a Virtual Tasting Participant, find a VT you are interested in and sign up. Your responsibilites are to purchase or retrieve the wines from your own cellar, and taste the wine. Once you've tasted the wine(s) log back on to winefans.net to post your wine notes for other VT participants to view. Then learn what others thought about the wines by reading their notes.

Winefans.net’s Virtual Tastings is a non threatening place to learn about wine and exchange opinions. Without having to either host nor participate, you can simply watch Virtual Tastings and learn from reading others' wine notes. It is also a great forum for seasoned wine drinkers to share thoughts and knowledge about their wine tasting expieriences. Lastly, it gives everyone the opportunity to learn more about wine, build their own tasting circle and meet other winefans.

You can also search the winefans.net database for wines you may want information on before purchasing the wine, corking the wine or where you can find a specific wine.
